Len Kaplan

Senior Vice President, Solutions and Services

Len Kaplan is an information systems executive with vast experience in client facing; service delivery; and command, control, communications and computer (C4) systems operations, management, planning, policy, and development. He has a proven record of accomplishment in both military and commercial sectors. He has extensive experience in process improvement, complex system architectures, strategic planning, project design, advocacy, and implementation. He is the creator of the Information Assurance program for US Air Force and led the information assurance effort on the Navy/Marine Corps Intranet. He is a motivator and mentor with people and an innovator with technology and organizations.

Len joined Fulcrum in April of 2005. His job is to develop, plan, manage, and communicate the strategic plan for the Solutions and Services Business Unit. He has increased the productivity of the staff, sales organization, fulfillment teams, and support staff through hands-on leadership. He assists with strategic development of customer accounts, and provides business leadership and training to the organization.

From 2003 to April 2005, Len worked for Raytheon's Technical Services Company as their lead for information assurance, and led the security effort on the Navy Marine Corps Intranet contract. He was responsible for P&L and portfolio growth on several contracts with numerous Federal and commercial customers.

Prior to his time with Raytheon, Len spent more than six years with CSC in their Federal Sector as a Director for Air Force programs and Military Intelligence programs, and then in the commercial sector as the Applications Delivery Executive on CSC's outsourcing account with United Technologies Corporation.

Len retired from the US Air Force as a Colonel after a 28 year career in information technology and telecommunications. He was thrice a unit commander, twice an executive officer to General officers, and twice led planning efforts for major defense organizations. His assignments included two tours at the Pentagon; two tours at DISA (DCA); unit commands at Grand Forks AFB, ND, Pease AFB, NH, and Teheran, Iran; three years at USPACOM as the executive assistant to the J–6; and various other staff assignments.
