ACS and NASA

GMRI's Services Division, now Fulcrum, developed an automated e-procurement system for Affiliated Computer Services (ACS), a federal contractor, and NASA, its client. NASA purchases goods and services from a Web catalog hosted by ACS. The orders are passed on to GMRI, which supplies the products NASA uses.

The development effort seamlessly interfaced ACS and GMRI, so that when NASA submits and order on the ACS website, it flows through to GMRI automatically as an XML transaction. Likewise, XML order acknowledgements and up-to-date product information are automatically transmitted from GMRI to ACS. The system is currently used by hundreds of users and processed thousands of orders.
